  • Mahdi Namdari

    KWA Wrestler/Coach

    Mahdi Namdari’s wrestling journey began at 9 in Iran, where he quickly rose to prominence, earning multiple championships and becoming a national team member. Although injuries and other challenges prevented him from competing internationally during his early years, Mahdi's passion for wrestling never faded.

    In 2018, Mahdi moved to New Zealand and reignited his wrestling career, achieving remarkable success. He became the New Zealand National Champion twice in a row and, after overcoming setbacks like the COVID-19 pandemic, reclaimed the title once more. His dedication and hard work earned him the chance to represent New Zealand at international tournaments, including the upcoming Oceania Championships and World Championships.

    Now, Mahdi continues to push forward with his dreams, driven by the support of his family and a relentless commitment to the sport.

  • KARIM MORADI

    KWA Head Coach

    Karim Moradi is one of New Zealand’s top wrestling coaches, known for his exceptional ability to develop champions and elevate athletes to the highest levels of competition. Born in Iran, a country renowned for its wrestling culture, Karim grew up immersed in a sport that emphasizes "inner strength through outer strength." This philosophy has shaped his coaching approach, focusing on both physical conditioning and mental toughness.

    With years of experience, Karim has coached numerous top athletes, including Nixon Suddens, Kaige Brown and JayJay Wilson, who have achieved national and international success under his guidance. He is one of the few United World Wrestling Level Two qualified coaches in New Zealand, further solidifying his expertise and commitment to the sport.

    Karim is dedicated to helping his wrestlers compete on the global stage, and his passion for the sport has made him a key figure in the growth of wrestling in Aotearoa.

ITiNERARY

All levels are welcome and open to any male and female. At Rutherford College, we can accept 60 the limit. Normal training gear to wear and bottle water to bring.

All participants will receive exclusive access to high-resolution videos of the training sessions. These videos are intended solely for personal use and are not for public distribution, remaining the property of the instructors. This feature allows participants to revisit the lessons and review them when practising at home, providing valuable reference material for future training.

The seminar will be held on Rutherford College gymnasium gate code will be provided via text message and email upon payment of your registration. The gymnasium is located beside the pool, there’s ample parking beside the gymnasium inside the school.
